This is a family favorite. You can bring this to any party and it's sure to be a hit!
It's super easy and super yummy! I could (and do) eat this all summer long!
Ingredients:
Marie's Blue Cheese Salad Dressing (1 whole jar)
Frank's Red Hot Sauce (as much as your taste buds enjoy, I usually do about 3/4 bottle)
{mix these together}
Celery (about 5 stalks)
Red Onion (1 whole one)
Chicken Breast (as much as you want. I usually buy a rotisserie chicken and cut it up)
Noodles - you pick your favorite. Cook as you would normally cook noodles and then flash them with cold water right away to stop the cooking process. I use an entire box of the noodles.
{chop all of these into similar size}
Now, mix everything together!
Add a little salt and pepper to taste.
It's best when it's chilled for a little while.
You can make it as spicy as you want - the more Frank's the spicier.
Enjoy!

That looks AWESOME!!! I promise I will FINALLY send out your goodies this week!!!
ReplyDeleteyum! that sounds so tasty :) I'll have to try it!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so gooooood!! I just had buffalo chicken dip this weekend at a cookout & it was delish! Now I'm craving more of this buffalo chicken goodness, so I might just have to try this recipe myself. Thanks for sharing!

That looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis looks yummy, but we are dairy free. Any ideas on replacing the bleu cheese?
ReplyDeleteLook online for vegan bleu cheese dressings. They are out there. Hopefully you can find one local, but otherwise order it.
DeleteWe are dairy and meat free, but I also hate bleu cheese. I was thinking of something to replace it altogether. Ranch maybe?
When I make buffalo chicken dip it calls for bleu cheese and I use ranch. So I'm sure ranch would substitute just fine
DeleteRanch has milk- not dairy free
DeleteI have a favorite Dairy free ranch recipe here:
Deletehttp://www.food.com/recipe/best-vegan-ranch-dressing-132916
This is NOT my recipe, I just love it. I'm not vegan, so I use regular mayo. I also use dried parsley. I think I'll try this salad with the dairy free ranch now! sounds soooo tasty!
You could use Kraft Bleu Cheese dry mix - or any other brand - (near the dry ranch mixes) & toss with hot sauce. Would be a LOT less calories!
DeleteWas thinking this might also be great on a pizza shell!
How much dressing and sauce?
ReplyDeleteI do almost an entire bottle of the Franks and an entire container of the blue cheese.
ReplyDeleteHi there! Saw this recipe on pinterest. How many noodles do you use as well as red onion chicken and celery?
ReplyDeleteSounds tasty and different. How much pasta did you use?
ReplyDeleteSounds great, but how much of each ingredient ?
ReplyDeleteShe says she's uses 5 stalks of celery, 1 red onion, a whole jar of the dressing, and 3/4 of the bottle of hot sauce. Sounds pretty simple
DeleteLooks great! But can you tell us how much of each ingredient to use? Mainly the sauce. Don't want to make it too hot!!
ReplyDeleteShe said she uses 3/4 of the bottle of hot sauce, if you don't like hot stuff start with 1/2 the bottle and add more to taste.
DeleteAdd quartered grape tomatoes, and after you chill it fold in some crumbled blue cheese for an extra kick!
ReplyDeleteWe do this same recipe but we use ranch instead of BC and leave the celery out. It is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteGo to allrecipes.com if you want to see specific amounts of each item.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for an opportunity to whip this up!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the name of the pasta? My grandma uses it. Ur doesn't know the name, I can't find it anywhere!
ReplyDeleteIt is radiatore pasta in the picture.
DeleteThank you!
Deletecan i make it the day before???
ReplyDeleteI made this today!! YUMMMMY!!! I made it the night before and it definitly tasted better the next day. Thanks so much!!!
ReplyDeleteI will try it this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI made this last night with a few tweaks and it was very good! I used whole wheat noodles, a mixture of bleu cheese and ranch and also added a dollop of sour cream. My boyfriend doesn't like spicy food, so I had to go light on the hot sauce but we both enjoyed it :)
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic, i had buying it our supermarket and it was so expensive. I added blue cheese crumbles as well. The store puts in cherry tomatoes too.
ReplyDeleteI just tried this- excellent! I used homemade ranch instead of blue cheese, and left out the celery. I got it a little too spicy though, but there's always next time! :)
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you, this made my day when I found this recipe. I was recently in NC for a conference, and the Omni-Charlotte served this one day for lunch, and I fell in love. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteCould you use can chicken>
ReplyDeleteI used canned chicken yesterday and it was delish!
Deletemade this yesterday for independence day.
ReplyDeletelooooooooved it!!!
Thanks. :)
Oh, and linking to my blog for the recipe. Delish!!!
about how many servings does this make (as stated in recipe i mean)? I am having a party this weekend with about 25 guests, should i double?
ReplyDeleteok so that sounds delicious....but I'm just gonna tell you it looks like 5th of July hangover vom....not trying to be a bitch here LOL but for real tho....LOOK AT IT! LMAO
ReplyDeleteWow rude.
DeleteI made this and it was really good! I used shredded carrots though instead of red onion. And I made half for my boyfriend using ranch dressing b/c he doesn't like blue cheese, so that's an option too and it tasted just as good! Thanks for a great recipe!

I'm making this for my family reunion this weekend and was wondering how big of a batch this makes?
ReplyDeleteSince I'm in Canada and not sure if I can find that brand of dressing, could you specify the size of the jar? And the size of your box of pasta? Mine is in a bag :) thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis looks yummy!! To all the people bitching at others for asking for the amounts...cut it out, get a life. Blue Cheese, ranch, and hot sauce all come in DIFFERENT SIZES. So they are correct in asking...big bottle? little bottle.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to make this for my tailgate this Sunday !
ReplyDeleteOhhh yummy! This looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteBlue cheese crumbles sound Great in it, I wondered about shredded cheese too anyone try that? I made this for my hubby, not a huge fan of buffalo chicken, but this is an excellent salad! I did use canned chicken and let it chill for 4 hrs before I served, very good!
ReplyDeleteIt's perfect! Thanks for this wonderful recipe!
ReplyDeleteWhat size bottle of Frank's???? Large or small??
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely live this!!! So easy and a treat my whole family lives!!!
ReplyDeleteMade this tonight. Used less hot sauce because of kids. Still it was a hit. Thanks for great recipe.
ReplyDeleteSoooooooooooooo tasty! Added feta...perfect!
